Testicular Cancer Survivors' Impressions of the Impact of the Disease on their LivesYork College, City University of New York This is a qualitative study of the psychosocial impact of testicular cancer and its treatment. Interviews were conducted with 11 survivors to examine changes in sense of self due to the experience of testicular cancer. Those aspects of self that were examined included identification self, interpersonal self, body self, and achieving self. Data indicated changes in all four aspects of self These changes appeared to follow a common path: that of focusing on enhancing the experience of the moment.
